A press release is a form of journalistic handshake; too weak and you don’t make an impact, too strong and you might come off a bit desperate. We need goldilocks here people… juuust right! And so although I didn’t write the press releases I was briefed on, I did my part in this hypothetical handshake with the design.
The three press releases here are for three very different books; a stylish and serious interiors tome, a gift book of saccharin sweet sincerity, and a bonanza of science-stuffed sorcery. The personality of each book has been reflected in the design of the press release, whilst allowing the information that busy journalists and press need to be easily accessible.
