‘Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky.’ ― Kahlil Gebran
I wanted to convey the wisdom and wonder that trees hold in one bold and beautiful cover. To try and do this, I sought out some visually stunning images that take the viewer by surprise in different ways, be it by the angle, colour, texture etc of the image. I then chose a font I felt was both elegant and distinctive font – just like trees are – used it in harmony with the visuals and then thought carefully about how the production of the book could add to the overal effect; resulting in some suggestions with quarter binding and cloth, amongst others.
