This TV tie-in book, accompanying the prime-time BBC Two series of the same name, was somewhat of a behemoth!
After winning the pitch for the book, a web of supreme organisation was woven; my initial design was nipped and tucked so the design could be sent out-of-house for layout, which enabled a team comprising of a photographer, stylist, editorial assistant and art director (myself) to journey across the UK capturing the nations’ revamped rooms. As time was of the essence, once the images were ready they were sent to the layout designer, until we’d finished and could then move on to the cover shoot... the final stage! The book was finished just in time and so a huge collective sigh of relief was exhaled (and much gin was drunk!)
