Devising a book cover that represents Sherlock Holmes in a way that instantly tells people that the book is about the great detective, but doesn’t parody a whole raft of other books that have already been produced on the man, is no mean feat!
After pondering this quandary for a while I settled on Sherlock’s iconic pipe as the best way to epitomize him. The pipe smoke swirls up in a rather mysterious way with the book title in it, symbolic of the way that Sherlock’s thoughts seem to magically manifest for him.
