Star
This pattern (a sketch at the moment) represents my relationship with my husband. He’s the person that ‘gets me’ best in the whole world and if anyone deserves a pattern, it’s him! (Yes, I made you cringe, a lot! More of that now…) The pattern was encouraged by On My Star by KT Tunstall and Wild Forever by Sophie Ellis Bextor, both of which say in words everything I’m trying to with felt tips!
I made the Star ring as a first-timer at a local silversmithing class so it was a real labour of love! It’s made from brass and silver and has various elements from my sketch incorporated into the design. After the elements were sawn to the right shape, they were then soldered on or stamped in, and finished off with platinol to give the ring a subtle black finish.
